Dear Winter

Dear Winter,

I know how much you love to linger, and yes I have enjoyed your white fluffy cold stuff, but I'm ready for a little green...and warmth. We've had some great times together and I'll never forget all the shenanigans in the single digit temperatures, but I think we need some time apart. Maybe like eight months. It's not you, it's...well actually it is you. I wish you all the best and hope you understand.

Sincerely,
Stacey

P.S.- I'll never forget my first snow.

To all the good times~

Update:

Winter received the letter. The snow has left but the cold has been staying around. It's just hanging on to something that's not there, it needs to move on. The ground hogs have been out a lot more lately, which I'm hoping is a good sign, but still no signs of spring. I will keep everyone posted.

1939 Elto Ace Outboard Restoration

Thursday, March 12, 2015

For the past couple of months, Chris has been working on restoring a 1939 Elto Ace outboard motor that belonged to his grandfather who passed away when Chris was about two years old.

Chris loves restoration projects, so when he was given the motor as an heirloom, he was beyond excited.

Chris did an amazing job bringing the old motor back to life and looking like the day it came out of the box, just as his grandfather saw it 76 years ago.

A Change in Temperature

Thursday, March 5, 2015

There's nothing like the warm California sun on your face, crystal blue waves lapping on the sand, and family. A couple weeks ago I left the single digit temperatures of Pennsylvania and spent six awesome days in southern California to attend my cousin's wedding and visit family. I had a great time, my cousin looked stunning at her wedding and I even met a few new additions to the family (who are super cute)…. and did I mention it was in the 70's??

The wedding venue had white tigers, no big deal.

I had a great visit with family and can't wait until the next time I can run barefoot through the ocean. Until then, I'll throw on some warm socks and lace up my snow boots...
