Leaf Peeping in the Berkshires

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

As summer faded into fall, Chris and I anxiously awaited for an opportunity to venture out of the city and into the mountains to get a glimpse of our favorite time of year. On a beautiful September Sunday, we hopped in the car and headed to the Berkshires in western Massachusetts.

Chris had a walk down memory lane as we stopped at Camp Greylock, where he and his friend spent the summer teaching waterskiing back in college. The security guard obviously didn't remember Chris because he let us right in to walk around...

As we made our way through the Berkshires, weaving in and out of New York and Massachusetts, and stopping at a little cafe for some apple cider cocktails, we ended the day at Bash Bish Falls State Park. The trail came to a beautiful waterfall that Chris had also visited during his stay at the camp. It was a great day catching the first glimpse of fall, or as the New Englanders have dubbed it, 'leaf peeping'...

More 'peeping' to come!
